We are a community-based, non-governmental organization dedicated to raising a generation of empowered, healthy, and self-reliant young people driving positive change in Uganda.
From Bukasa Girl Care Group to a comprehensive youth-empowerment NGO.
Visionary PathWays, formerly known as Bukasa Girl Care Group (BGCG), was initiated in October 2019 by a group of teenage girls and community elders concerned about the challenges facing disadvantaged urban girls in Bukasa, Kijwa zone, and Namuwongo. We were officially formed on August 7th, 2019, and registered on September 8th, 2021.
On our 5th anniversary in August 2024, recognizing that both boys and girls face critical economic and health challenges, we rebranded to Visionary PathWays to expand our reach to serve all young people aged 15 to 30 years.
To support young people through capacity-building activities, knowledge, skills, networks, and motivation that aim to improve living standards, dignity, and self-esteem.
Youth, people with disabilities, teenage mothers, school dropouts, victims of gender-based violence, and vulnerable girls in the communities of Kanyogoga, Soweto, and surrounding areas.
